Dr Rajeevan Mahendran

Raj, as he likes to be called, graduated from the
Royal London Hospital in 2001 after which he
had worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgery at Barts and the Royal London
Hospital. Following this he found himself back in General Dental Practice.

He then went on to complete a Master’s degree
in Endodontics at Queen Mary University of
London. This has enabled Raj to offer a wide range of solutions to manage complex endodontic cases especially the management of endodontic failure and endodontic retreatment, crown and post removal, broken instrument retrieval as well as ‘de novo’ treatments.

During the MSc, his research focused on the use of Cone Beam Computed Tomography in Endodontics and also the Management of Patients
with Persistent Dentoalveolar Pain.

Raj values his patients and their experience.
He uses his skills, knowledge and experience gained
in general dental practice to ensure that all patients receive comprehensive dental care from the diagnostic stage, to treatment planning and delivery with the latest technology and follow-up care.
He uses the dental operating microscope and CBCT
to further increase the predictability of root canal
treatment. Raj also works in referral practices in Essex and Bedfordshire and has developed a close-knit referral network in those areas over
several years.

He is also passionate about teaching, being a trainer
to Foundation Dentists over the last twelve years.

He holds Endodontics workshops and CPD events
for other dental colleagues.
